About The Project
Project „Calendar of festivals, Customs and traditions" is a 3 month-long project about traditional festivals in spring in different countries. We will make a digital calendar with the important dates for each participating country, including pictures, photos, videos of activities and short descriptions of the festivals. The success of our project depends on the number of different countries and schools.
AIMS
1. Adapt a variety of learning approaches and environments while teaching students about the traditions, customs and festivals of their own country and of other participating countries;
2. Using digital technologies create a calendar where participating countries introduce their national festivals and traditions;
3. Promote the usage of natural resources in a sustainable way by communicating with partners online.
WORK PROCESS
The project continues for three months, starting on 1st March, 2022. Foreign primary schools are invited to participate as our partners. Partner schools individually create a digital calendar with their most important national/school festivals. Every festival must have a short description. The calendars should include pictures, photos, and videos of songs or dances. The project is intended to have four main stages according to the changing seasons. Planned stages are such:
• I - registration of the project, online meeting with partner schools, decision making on the activities, sharing the tasks;
• II - execution of the project, organizing and documenting the activities, creating each national calendar using digital technologies, 2 online meetings are expected to be organized;
• III - reflection, final online meeting;
• I – 01/ 03 to 31/03;
• II – 01/04 to 31/05;
• III – 01/06 to 15/06.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Project „Calendar of festivals, Customs and traditions will be executed online, on a public „TwinSpace" page. The final product of this project is expected to be a digital calendar where information about national/school festivals will be provided. School partners will share their own and partner calendars on their school websites.
